Technical Writer – Automotive After Sales Documentation Specialist*

We are looking for Automotive Technical Writers to support a premium OEM After Sales organization in the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of Workshop Manuals, Repair Procedures and Technical Service Documentation for high-performance vehicles.

The role involves close interaction with Engineering, After Sales, Diagnostics and Serviceability teams, contributing to the creation of high-quality technical documentation for current and future vehicle platforms within a structured S1000D-oriented documentation environment.

This will make you grow:
  • Creation and update of Workshop Manual procedures for mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle systems;
  • Development of repair, maintenance, calibration and diagnostic procedures;
  • Authoring and management of structured technical documentation in XML/S1000D environments;
  • Creation and management of labour times (repair schedules / flat rate times);
  • Support in the preparation of Technical Bulletins, Service Campaigns and Recall documentation;
  • Analysis of engineering changes and assessment of impact on After Sales documentation;
  • Collection and consolidation of technical information from Engineering departments;
  • Coordination with Diagnostics, Spare Parts and Serviceability teams;
  • Management of approval workflows within OEM documentation systems;
  • Support to dealer network technical requests and troubleshooting activities;
  • Creation and management of technical illustrations and procedure-related images;
  • Ensuring compliance with OEM quality standards, terminology and publication guidelines;
And this is how you'll take us forward:
  • Experience in Automotive Technical Writing or Workshop Manual development;
  • Proven experience in After Sales technical documentation for automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers; 
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems:
    • Powertrain  
    • Chassis  
    • Electrical/Electronic systems
    • Diagnostics  
    • Body & Trim
  • Experience with repair procedures, maintenance documentation and service operations; 
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings, CAD references and technical specifications; 
  • Experience with structured authoring and XML-based documentation environments; 
  • Good knowledge of S1000D specifications, modular documentation principles and Common Source Database (CSDB) concepts; 
  • Familiarity with Data Modules, metadata management and structured publishing workflows
