CAE Engineer Composite materials*

CAE Engineer Composite materials*

With our innovative spirit and over 50 years of expertise, we are forging ahead in Vehicle Engineering of product developments for the automotive sector. For successful developments in the future, we put our stakes on your know-how.

This will make you grow:
  • Perform finite element analysis (FEA) of composite structural components for automotive applications, focusing on stiffness, strength, durability, and crash performance;
  • Set up, run, and validate simulations using tools such as Nastran, Abaqus, ESI-VPS, and OptiStruct;
  • Develop detailed pre-processing models using ANSA / Design-Studio and carry out comprehensive post-processing with META / Animator;
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses, optimization studies, and design iterations to improve performance, reduce weight, and meet cost targets;
  • Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing teams to define composite layups, stacking sequences, and material models;
  • Evaluate feasibility of continuous and discontinuous fiber solutions considering mechanical requirements and production constraints;
  • Provide recommendations on design modifications to ensure manufacturability and structural integrity;
  • Assess component performance relative to key composite production processes (Autoclave, RTM, VARTM, PCM, C-SMC, etc.);
  • Interface with CAD designers working in Catia or Siemens NX to ensure correct integration of simulation-driven modifications;

And this is how you'll take us forward:
  • Master's Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering;
  • Experience in CAE simulation and development of composite structural components;
  • Basic knowledge of CAD systems, preferably Catia and/or Siemens NX;
  • Excellent knowledge of software: Ansa, Design-studio, Nastran, Abaqus, Esi-vps, Optistruct, Meta, Animator;
  • Knowledge of continuous/discontinuous fiber and transformed fiber production processes using the main manufacturing technologies: Autoclave, RTM, VARTM, PCM, C-SMC, etc;
  • Excellent knowledge of Italian and English, both written and spoken;
  • Availability for short-term travel in Italy and abroad;

* Gender, age, nationality, or religion are not relevant for us – you are all that matters.
Sounds like your next challenge? Then we'll be looking forward to your application!
