CATIA mechanical designer coordinator*

This will make you grow:
  • Concept CAD design and packaging studies for VE charging systems development & VE Mechanical components;
  • Model mechanical and electronic components;
  • Design and revise production level parts used in on-vehicle and off-vehicle power electronics components;
  • Create and revise 2D drawings of components used in the mechanical and electronical system applying ANSI Y14.5 standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T);
  • Manage CAD BOM structure in Catia for parts and assemblies;
  • Generate assembly illustrations using CATIA and other office tools to help engineers establish documentation for assembly of mechanical and electronical components;
  • Design prototype assembly and test fixtures to support the build teams;
  • Participate in Problem Issue and Resolution Meetings;
And this is how you'll take us forward:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using CATIA (V6 will be considered a plus). Enovia or similar PLM experience for revision and release workflow is required;
  • Experience as a project coordinator and customer interface;
  • Experience and knowledge in sheet metal design, injection molding, die casting, thermoformed plastics;
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude, knowledge of fasteners, and ability to apply DFM and DFA is critical;
  • Experience creating drawings and a high degree of competence with GD&T;
  • Proficient with Microsoft office apps (Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills;
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Must be a highly motivated and scrappy self-starter who is able to achieve results with minimal supervision and direction;
